2. Getting to Know Us
IMCAS Mission Statement
IMCAS is dedicated in achieving the highest quality of teaching through the interface of Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. Achieving this vision requires a dynamic organization whose mission embodies the following standards:
- Unification and fair representation of Plastic Surgery and Dermatology.
- Excellence in teaching all leading subjects on Aging Skin Treatments.
- Constant adherence to ethical conduct.
Unequalled Tradition of Professional Support
IMCAS started in 1995, in Paris, France, as a congress dedicated to plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Since its conception, IMCAS has sought to bridge the knowledge vacuum between Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Dermatology, thereby generating a synergetic and mutually reinforcing interface between these two fields.
IMCAS Today
What began a decade ago has now grown in terms of participation and renown. As such, IMCAS has become one of the most important international courses dedicated to Aging Skin Treatments. Our Annual Congress is regularly held in Paris during the second week of January and welcomes more than 3 200 delegates from 40 different countries.
3. Why Paris?
IMCAS annual meeting is held in Paris since its creation, in 1995.

Paris can rightly claim to be a global centre of decision-making. It is among the top-ranking European cities in terms of GDP. With a high level of specialization in a range of sectors, Paris is one of the most competitive destinations in Europe. The competitiveness clusters, which receive support from the public authorities, give its sectors of excellence high nternational visibility and legitimacy.
In terms of accessibility, it is hard to beat Paris, uniquely situated at the very heart of Europe. Its air transport hub is the largest in mainland Europe. Thanks to the high-speed train (TGV) network, Paris is less than four hours from the major European capital cities. And once in Paris, it is easy to get around, using the metropolitan railway (Métro), bus, tram, or Vélib’ (self-service bicycle hire).

8. IMCAS Badge Policy
IMCAS strictly respect the criteria required for CME accreditation. That is why the access to the conferences is submitted to a number of exact rules, aiming at guaranteeing the scientific independence of the conferences, and at preserving it from any commercial interest influence.
A precise Badge Policy has been implemented, which specifies the rules relating to the admittance to the different areas of IMCAS conferences.
IMCAS Badge Policy is mandatory for all the participants. Its violation will authorize IMCAS Staff to take measures in order to restore the order, and may lead to the withdrawal of the badge and the prohibition of access to the conference area.
According to each participant’s status (delegate, faculty, exhibitor, etc), a corresponding badge colour is issued based on a precise “COLOUR CODE”.
