IMCAS welcomes each year within its Scientific Sessions “NEW DEVICES/PRODUCTS” lectures.

If your company has an emerging technology/product to present, the IMCAS Scientific Programme Committee welcomes the submission of the corresponding lecture presenting this new technology/product

Please kindly note that only emerging technology/product on the market for less than 12 months will be accepted.

The aim is to allow our attendees to be aware of any technology/product update in our medical aesthetic field.

ABSTRACT DEADLINE - Sunday 15 June 2008
Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
If the lecture is accepted, the badge for the speaker will be ready at the FACULTY welcome desk. This badge will give him/her free access to the NEW DEVICES/PRODUCTS session on the day he/she speaks only. But, registration is necessary if he/she wishes to attend other Scientific Sessions or Teaching Courses.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Carefully read the guidelines in this announcement before submitting your abstract. Acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be returned to your email address immediately upon submission. If you do not receive the e-mail, your submission was not completed and your abstract needs to be re-submitted.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please observe that abstracts can only be submitted electronically through our website. Abstracts must be written in English and the presentations must be in English.

Accepted abstracts selected by expert reviewers will be presented in an oral session and the lecture will last 8 minutes.

In order to make the abstract as informative as possible, please include a brief statement of the purpose of the study, explaining in what and why your device/technology/product is innovative. You can also attach a file (synopsis, current clinical data…) which will be studied par the Scientific Committee. This file will not be inserted in the abstract booklet.

Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full wording at the first time it appears in the body of the text. Standard abbreviations may be employed in the text.

It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.

Please note that each year a number of abstracts are rejected because they contain no data or the English is unacceptable. Changes to abstracts can only be accepted until the deadline using the Personal Page.

SPEAKER’S EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
He/she has to be :

  • the inventor of that new technology/product or
  • the engineer in charge of quality/engineering development (R&D)

The authors’ academic degrees must be attached within the « Short Biostatement » field.

TOPICS
One of the following topics that best describes the abstract should be indicated upon submission:

  • NEW DEVICES
    • BODY
    • FACE

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Notification of acceptance/rejection will be e-mailed 30 days following your submission. The company’s contact and the speaker will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract.


“CONFLICT OF INTEREST STATEMENT” FORM 
You must complete that form with all the data of your company.

PUBLICATION OF ABSTRACTS
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book which will be given to all delegates attending the Congress upon registration. Accepted abstracts will also be published on a CD-ROM and/or on the Internet.
