Accreditation in the United States

EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). For more information log on the AMA website www.ama-assn.org.

Procedure for obtaining American CME credits

• The AMA PRA Category 1 Credits are available for all the specialists.
• First, fill in the Evaluation form of IMCAS at the end of the congress, in order to obtain you Certificate of presence at IMCAS.
• Then, apply for conversion of EACCME credits to AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. You will need to download the "Application for EACCME Credit Conversion " on AMA web site. Submit the completed application by fax or mail along with a copy of the EACCME credit certificate and processing fee. A certificate of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit will be mailed 4 weeks later.

• Don't forget that your certificate of presence at IMCAS will prove your entitlement to AMA credits, and will enable the conversion of the European CME credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
• Please, note that the conversion of European CME credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits is mutual (conversion ratio equals 1).
